With bullet holes, vill walls worn year by year;
In peace, swallows return to their nests still.
A hundred thousand heroes shed blood here,
Which has dyed trumpet vines mid the green hill.
Note: Mengyin and Pingyi Counties are located in the Yimeng Mountain area of Shandong Province. This region served as a key center of the Shandong Base Area for the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the East China Liberation Area. From 1938 to 1949, it witnessed 12 years of revolutionary struggle. Statistics show that 105,000 revolutionary martyrs made the ultimate sacrifice here during this period.
韦树定，笔名韦散木。1988年2月生，男，广西河池人，壮族。现系《诗刊》诗词编辑，首都师范大学继续教育学院书法专业诗词课程讲师。有诗文集《无量春愁集》《那浪吟草》《北牧集》及《行行重行行》（合著）。
WEI Shuding, male, Useless Timber Wei by pen name, born in February 1988. The poet, a Zhuang Chinese and a native of Hechi, Guangxi, is a poetry editor of Poetry and alecturer in poetry for calligraphy majors at the College of Further Education, Capital Normal University.
